This moisturizing hair butter is perfect for natural African hair as it provides the right amount of moisture and hold without the stiffness and flaking. Use this moisturizing hair butter for locs, braids, twists and twist outs. Divide hair into manageable sections then apply a small amount of Aethiopika hair butter. For a soft and defined loose style, style hair into cornrows, braids, two-strand twists or three strand twists, let set for several hours or overnight and then unravel. For additional softness and sheen, apply our Castor & Moringa Softening Serum to fingertips as you unravel. Separate and fluff until you get the fullness you want...and flaunt it.

The Aethiopika Butter that shipped after approximately 6/25/11 is slightly softer than previous batches per customer feedback. New scent as of 8/26/11. 
Weight revision on label – Your jar contains the same amount of Aethiopika Butter, however, the product amount was previously listed by fluid ounce (volume) rather than by weight. So although it’s filled to 5 fluid ounces, it’s net weight as a solid is 4.75 oz as ounces can be listed as a measure of weight or volume. The change reflects a shift from volume measurement to weight measurement. 6/24/16.

Directions: Dig in with finger tip and scoop out a dime sized amount. Rub between palms and evenly distribute through damp or dry sectioned hair before locing, twisting or braiding. For loose hair, rub between palms and evenly distribute throughout damp or dry hair.

An uneven or mottled surface and/or graininess is the result of high temperature exposure and uneven cooling. This can be resolved by heating in a microwave until semi liquid. Remove, stir and allow to cool until solid. This is not indicative of a formula change and will not affect performance.
