Main differences

The main differences are that the New Redken Color Gels Oils achieve up to 100% gray coverage for each shade, are ammonia-free and contain apricot oil. While Color Gels Lacquers cover up to 100% of selected shades, they are low-ammonia and oil-free.

How to use

Mix 60ml of colored gel oils with 60ml (equal parts) of cream developer Redken Pro-Oxide. Use only the indicated proportions. Always use after mixing.

Use suitable disposable gloves. Do not use with metal tools (clips, combs...). Process at room temperature for 20-45 minutes. DO NOT USE HEAT. After the processing time, rinse your hair well.

• Mixing ratio: 1:1 (e.g. 60 ml paint + 60 ml developer)
• Duration of action: 20-45 minutes
• Developer: Redken Pro-Oxide 10 Vol., 20 Vol., 30 Vol., 40 Vol.

Developer selection

Redken Color Gels Oils do not require a special developer. You can use the cream developer Redken Pro-Oxide, which saves not only money but also space! With the option to use Redken Color Gels Oils with Redken Pro-Oxide Cream Developer, you can use 10, 20, 30 or 40 volume developers for different results.

• 10 Vol. - creates minimal lift and should be processed for 20 minutes.
• 20 Vol. - enables standard lift and gray coverage for all hair types when processed for 30 minutes.
• 30 Vol. - provides an additional lift of up to 3 levels when processed for 40 minutes.
• 40 Vol. - allows a maximum lift of up to 4 levels when processing for 45 minutes.
