Bask & Lather started at home, when founder Shaina Rainford’s mother began blending oils for her younger daughter’s hair and scalp. Those family-made blends became the Scalp Stimulator and Hair Elixir—the first two products Shaina launched in 2020. What began as a personal family ritual has grown into a Black-owned haircare brand built around considered scalp care, nourishing oils and everyday wash-day essentials.
